Alejandra Aguayo Armendáriz is a News Anchor and Reporter. She received her Communication Sciences degree from the Universidad Del Valle de Mexico and received a diploma in Writing and Arts from the University of Santa Fe in New Mexico (Santa Fe University of Art and Design).
As a reporter, she has carried out large-scale coverage of several significant events such as the earthquakes in Mexico in September 2017, and the triumph of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador in 2018. Additionally, she was sent on a special report to Tijuana, Baja California for the state elections in 2019. Ms. Aguayo Armendariz has conducted interviews of several significant figures including President of Chile Sebastián Piñera, the former President of Colombia Ernesto Samper, the CEO of the Grupo Bolsa Mexicana de Valores José Oriol-Bosch, Mr. Roberto Cantoral, and Mr. Luis de Llano.
Currently, at 32 years old, Alejandra is the head of the 5:00 pm Newscast on the FOROtv signal. Her news coverage is divided between the breaking news in Mexico City, the country, and the world. The program includes internationalists and analysts such as Denise Dresser, Leo Zuckermann, and Jorge Castañeda.
Alejandra has received several awards in recognition of her work as a reporter and host. Awards include the “Ambassador of Values in Television Journalism” from the Great Values Initiative and the "National Award for Women" from The National Chamber of Women.
