The first gala for the West Somerset Railway in 2010 was there Spring Steam Gala which took on the theme The Standard Revolution. This was to show how it would have been like when BR Standards were running over the Weston Region. The railway managed to bring in a nice balance of BR Standards for the gala which ran along side with a nice mix of GWR & SR engines.

For this years Spring Gala the WSR added some extra features to galas, one was to bank the first train of Bishops Lydeard with a 9F while the other 9F was at the front and also the Dunster shunt had returned to galas and for the 27th standard 2mt 78019 was on the Dunster Shunt.
The day was a mixture of linesiding and riding also to take a look round the sheds at Williton and keeping me company at times was JBTEvans, GJDobbzy and theonlyadsrulz so thanks to them. It was also nice to meet a friendly fellow youtuber, ADMIRALSCORNER at Watchet while waiting for 34046.

The day was brilliant with fantastic weather and a good engine line up, another good one by the West Somerset Railway
