In this video I install a square 4 in 1, 12 volt, power control panel into my camping kitchen. This unit was combined with a misordered 3 port rectangular unit to change components around as they are all interchangeable.
The wiring is the biggest issue. To accomplish this I pulled the plastic part of an oversized crimp on female lead up a wire and stuffed more wires through the plastic part and soldered the 3 or so wires to the metal connector then pulled the female plastic part back over. This worked for up to 3 wires for the multigang connections. The finish look is displayed to show how the jumping from one to the other is wired.
The cutting should be done with a template cut it out of cardboard and make sure it fits well before cutting the wood or plastic mounting location.

The product used was:

And some parts from: (while not necessary I had it so I switched things around I preferred its USB 3.0 plug and wanted one more 12 volt cigarette lighter plug on the square unit. I even used its switch for an individual light switch for my led light so it was great for cannibalizing).
