Parliament has deferred debate on the private members bill to amend the constitution to raise the retirement age of judges and justices. MPs, especially from the opposition argued that the mover of the bill, Nakifuma MP Kafeero Ssekitoleko did not follow procedure before tabling the bill on the floor of Parliament. Deputy Speaker Jacob Oulanyah deferred debate to Thursday.
