LNER Class A4 4498 Sir Nigel Gresley, the famed 100th A4 Pacific Locomotive, AKA British Railways No. 60007; and currently the last surviving working Class A4 Steam Locomotive, recorded in Wansford station; preparing for a day's running, during her special stay, at the Nene Valley Railway, on Friday 7th and Saturday 8th April 2023.
This was Sir Nigel Gresley's third major heritage railway appearance, after her first running on the Severn Valley Railway in Spring 2022. The locomotive sports a British Railways blue livery, originally from 1950, but commonly seen in its earlier preversation years throughout the 1990s, 2000s and 2010s.
Recorded on location at Wansford Station on Friday 7th, and Saturday 8th April.

Originally built in 1937 at Doncaster works for the London and North Eastern Railway, Sir Nigel Gresley is a brother of the World Speed Record Breaking locomotive - Mallard, which is a now a permanent exhibit of the National Railway Museum in York.
