Chegando nesta quinta-feira mais um #tbt do canal @AMilPorHoracomRodrigoMattar e o quadro de maior audiência relembra como foi o GP da Europa de 1997, há 25 anos.
O fim de semana de 25/26 de outubro reservou para o público um fato raro: três carros e pilotos empatados com o mesmo tempo na sessão de classificação - 1'21"072, com vantagem para Jacques Villeneuve, autor da pole por ter feito o tempo primeiro que Michael Schumacher e Heinz-Harald Frentzen.
Schumacher duelava com Jacques pelo título, chegou a Jerez com um ponto de vantagem e aí resolveu novamente manchar sua história e trajetória no automobilismo com uma tentativa suja de defesa de posição contra o rival da Williams.
O resto da história se conhece: o piloto alemão foi julgado e excluído da classificação, perdendo o vice-campeonato de 1997. Contudo, os resultados que incluíam poles, melhores voltas, vitórias e pódios não lhe foram cassados, somente a posição na tabela de classificação, cabendo o vice a Frentzen.
