The application sequence of Coppercoat.
Coppercoat is most commonly applied in a series of five thin coats. These are applied consecutively, wet-on-tacky, over the course of one mild and dry day. This photo sequence shows this and includes a sixth picture to show the finished job with the masking tape removed.
GRP vessels do not need an undercoat. Boats constructed of wood, steel, and ferro-cement can also be protected using Coppercoat. They will first need an application of the appropriate primer.
Coppercoat is designed to be user-friendly. This solvent-free non-toxic coating should be mixed thoroughly, one unit at a time. Then applied to the prepared surface by roller or spray.
A complete treatment is achieved in a minimum of four thin coats, which must be applied ‘wet on tacky’, all on the same day.
