A Turkish rescue worker confronted far-right politician Umit Ozdag, leader of the Victory Party, who has released various statements accusing Syrians of causing problems in Turkey’s earthquake-affected areas.

Earlier last week, the politician falsely accused a man of being a Syrian who had stolen a firefighter’s phone during a live broadcast of rescue efforts. The man in question later recorded a video to dispute Ozdag’s claims, showing his Turkish identity card and that the phone belonged to him.
