This week our duo is joined by Byron Riggins. Byron is the Restoration & Advocacy Coordinator at Delaware Riverkeeper Network. In Byron’s role he attempts to resolve complex water resource issues using an interdisciplinary lens and describes his life purpose as protecting his home community from the imminent pressures of climate change while gathering lessons that can benefit the national or global community. Byron, Maya, and Anneke discuss how children being in nature, learning about nature, and being able to feel supported in pursuing their passions, like Byron has, can be vital in creating not only a more eco-minded generation but a powerful generation of environmental advocates each with their own skills.
