Following the screening, the director of The Gate of Sun, Yousry Nasrallah joined film critic Joseph Fahim for a Q&A. The Gate of Sun (2004) باب الشمس, is based on the novel by Elias Khoury. The story of a family and those around them in Northern Palestine who flee to a refugee camp in Lebanon, an unsparing reflection of the impact of the disaster on Palestinian life and their relationship with their reluctant Lebanese hosts.
