Buying a ten year old used DSLR at a time when DSLRs are quickly being replaced by mirrorless cameras, but despite it's age, the Nikon D800 is still a fantastic camera for creating incredible images. It's capable of capturing 36 MP images that exceed the quality of shots captured with many modern full frame mirrorless cameras, and it costs less than many current entry level camera systems. Despite the fact that I shoot with the Nikon Z6 and am going to purchasing the Nikon Z9, the Nikon D800 still has a place in my kit.
