Moon and stars watermelon. 2023
This is the moon and stars watermelon.
I have no experience growing this variety of watermelon, so when I notice the large spot forming on the top I got nervous. Having lost so many melons to animals and insects, I was not taking any chances with this one. So I might have harvest it a little too early, it was after the harvest it occurred to the spot might be the moon. It's clear that the little yellow dots are the stars.
About the taste, I raised the score from a 5 to a 7. Before I eat the watermelon I was eating figs, the figs may have affected the taste of the watermelon.
