A wonderful Anglo Indian Sewing box, dated c.1840 – 1850. The box is in superb condition, inlaid with Ivory, Ebony, semi- precious stone and pewter: it also has silvered feet and handles. Open the box to reveal a Sandalwood sewing interior, with fitted sewing reels, cotton boxes, trays, all in superb condition. The box measures: 31.5 cm x 22 cm and stands 14 cm tall, with a velvet lined interior.
