Shuttlesource presents the landing test of the space shuttle Enterprise at Edwards AFB in California. Watch as the shuttle separates from its 747 carrier aircraft and glides to a successful landing and Edwards. These test flights validated the landing phase of the space shuttle prior to the first flight of STS-1.
Shuttlesource is a space shuttle video archive featuring rare and exclusive video from the program’s 30-year history. Relying on private and NASA sourced video, this is a project to restore and digitize this historical treasure for all to enjoy.
With over 1,000 hours of video still to be released, the video archive will offer perspective on every shuttle mission from astronaut training, briefings, mission operations, orbiter preparations and news media coverage as a snapshot in time.
