What is Kintsugi? Simply put, Kintsugi (金継ぎ, literally “golden joinery”) is a Japanese art form of making broken things whole again by joining broken pottery pieces with lacquer mixed with gold, silver or platinum dust. It is also known as kintsukuroi (金繕い, “golden repair”).
