The iconic and accredited historical Jackson Homestead Museum is located in the harmonious village of Newton Corner. This Federal style Museum has a unique feature of having a stop of the underground railway even before the Civil War. It is also known for it's extra ordinary display of all-year exhibits related to Newton’s history.
The village of Newton Corner is the first village of Newton with some interesting things to do. Settled in the early 16th century , the village evolved into multiple farms along with a small cluster of homes and shops that were meant to provide supplies to the farmers. By the early 18th century railroad was brought to the village which changed the fate of the area with one of it's stop going through the museum.
