Wholesale set of 9 natural Spodumene (Kunzite) gemstones originating from Afghanistan. These weigh a total of 63.05 CTS between the 9 stones and have been cut into emerald /rectangular shapes.

These are fairly big sized pieces and have an average weight of 7.00 CTS each. We can provide exact measurements of each stone if required. 4 of the gems are quite large while the other 5 pieces are more of a ring size.

The coloring is a mix of different shades, with subdued and lighter tones of either gold, green, or purple. Intense sparkles and flashes are highly visible, and are best seen in the supplied video.

There are no major flaws, although a couple of the stones have slight natural inclusions found upon examination. These range in clarity from eye clean to SI.

Green Kunzite, also known has hiddenite or lithia emerald, is the green to yellow - green silica mineral variety of the mineral Spodumene. The gem has a glassy transparency and is pleochoic and shifts into different tones.

Kunzite is a relatively new gem on the market. It was discovered in 1902 and named after the gemologist who discovered the stone, George Kunz. The hardness of the stone rates 6.5 - 7 on the MOHS scale, making this acceptable for regular wear.
