She started learning Krav Maga a number of years ago, She was looking for a martial art or a skill that would allow her to feel safe when she was out and about. She is a mum of two little boys, she often felt vulnerable and an easy target. She is the only Asian and Muslim female Krav Maga instructor in the UK.
