Salem (Tamil Nadu), Nov 29 (ANI): 25-year-old Hadiya, who is at the centre of a love-jihad case, reached Salem in Tamil Nadu on Tuesday amid tight security. The Supreme Court freed Hadiya from the custody of her parents on Monday and granted her permission to pursue her studies at Shivraj Homeopathy College. Hadiya, wearing a yellow scarf, spoke to the media outside her colleges, where she reiterated that she wanted to meet her husband. On May 29, the Kerala High Court had annulled Hadiya’s marriage with her husband Shafi Jahan, terming it as an instance of 'love jihad.' Shafi Jahan approached the apex court and the hearing will be continued in the case from January 2018.
