Project cars are a wonderful thing, but are they realistic? Are they even safe for a daily driver?
Whether it's a classic restoration or a drift car, our projects have their downsides. The more you modify your vehicle, the better chance you have of something going wrong. But what's the point of owning a project CAR if you don't drive it? Obviously we can't tell you the answers, but we can at least give you a little bit of hindsight. This little Datsun 280zx spent many years as a loyal daily driver. Reliable? Eh, but definitely loyal. It's a little scary to drive a vintage Fairlady Z on state-wide trips, but building a daily driveable car is definitely a good learning experience for any car enthusiast.
