My "red flowers" is a vintage French book that has been altered into a beautiful journal. It has a beautiful vintage feel to it.
I have lovingly created this journal using tea and coffee dyed paper, card and paper stock, envelopes, pages from Edith Holden's diary, art book pages, quotes, dictionary pages, vintage music paper, map pages, square paper, ledger paper and original pages from the book itself. There are 2 signatures and approximately 30 pages in each of them.
There is already vintage themed ephemera throughout this journal, it is held within lots of tuck spots, pockets, belly bands and envelopes. However, there is still plenty of room for your own memories, photos, tickets, receipts and more. There are also copies of original vintage French photos collected from charity shops and brocantes in Normandy, France.
This book would make a wonderful gift for a loved one who likes to keep memories, photos, cards and enjoyable moments recorded and written down. It would be equally useful for someone who likes to plan or make lists or for someone who writes a daily journal or keeps a thought / thanks journal.
I love to reuse and recycle. The idea of bringing an old, unloved book back to life to fill with new memories and treasures is special. It creates a bespoke, one of a kind item that has been given a new lease of life. I do hope that you enjoy using it.
