One person was killed and several police officers injured in a grenade attack in Garissa town last night. The dead was a civilian who was caught in the cross fire between the police and attackers who had hurled a grenade at a police vehicle at 7.20pm. Six administration police officers who were in the attacked vehicle are receiving treatment at Garissa Provincial General Hospital suffering from gun and grenade wounds. Four of the officers were treated and discharged while two are still nursing injuries in the hospital.
