Why are some people more successful than others? Why are some groups (dare I say, races) more successful in particular fields than others?

Society will say different economic outcomes is due to genetic differences or due to exploitation and discrimination.

Sowell offers another explanation:

“The disparities can also reflect the plain fact that success in many kinds of endeavors depends on prerequisite particular to each endeavor and a relatively small difference in meeting those prerequisites can mean a very large difference in outcomes.”.
