Crisis Battlesuits are an iconic part of the T'au range, and it's a rare army that'll hit the table without a few of these providing rapid reaction fire support. Luckily enough, they aren't particularly difficult to paint! READ MORE:
It turns out GW doesn't make Averland Sunset in a can any more! My mistake - there's so many of them available at my local store that I'd never realised they were out of production. Instead, try a primer of Wraithbone!
It's been a very long time since I've actually painted any battlesuits, so it was an interesting challenge to tackle an old miniature with some new tricks. The paints have certainly come a long way from when I was first drybrushing Farsight Enclave Fire Warriors! As I mention in the video, it's worth taking a look at some of the official colour recommendations for different Sept worlds - these techniques will work perfectly well just by swapping the colours you're using, so there's not a lot of complex changes to be made in how you approach the miniature just because you want to play a different army to the original T'au Sept.
How would you paint a Ghostkeel? Like this, but bigger. A drone? Like this, but smaller!
