This tool was crafted in the Winkler Knives shop in Northwestern North Carolina by skilled Blue Ridge Mountain artisans. It was created to provide unfailing performance and to last a lifetime. The Winkler Knives touch mark represents their unwavering commitment to producing the highest quality knives, axes, and breaching tools available.
Truly a multi-tasker, the S.A.R was developed at the request of a municipal Search and Rescue Team. It is a combination of the WKII Utility Knife and the WKII Spike. Serrations along the spine knife provide fiber cutting capabilities without giving up any of the cutting edge. The horizontal cross guard is an added safe guard. There is an effective glass breaker at the butt of the handle. This knife is made of 80CrV2 carbon steel with a non-reflective Caswell finish.
The versatile Kydex sheath can be worn vertically or horizontally for right- or left-hand draw with simple adjustments.
