Atco Dragway Fall Nationals Outlaw All Motor Class Qualifying and Elimination rounds from Saturday and Sunday October 5th and 6th.
This was a wild one! It was a solid mix of Ten Honda, Mitsubishi and Nissan Outlaw All Motor Cars. They went three rounds of qualifying on Saturday to see how they stacked up. Norris Prayoonto claimed the number 1 spot with a 8.925 at 159mph, Adrian Alicea in the 2 spot with a 9.070 at 152mph, and Marcos Colon in the Mitsubishi was number 3 with a 9.178 at 164mph, Wendell went 9.179 at 153mph which placed him 4th and Shawn Manyoung from North Carolina was 5th with a 9.180 at148mph! Felix Colon aka TunTun went 9.368 with his B series setup which put him 6th. We had a fast field of cars to match-up going into Sundays Elimination Rounds!
The Quarter Finals on Sunday got crazy once Marcos Colon went 8.940 at 166.11mph next to Wendell Vickeries 9.114 at 146.40mph- This race was awesome and both personal bests as well as maor accomplishments for their platforms. Marcos being the first Outlaw All Motor Mitsubishi in the 8's and Wendells 99mm setup being the quickest sauce99!
We were just getting started, the energy of the crowd was intense as semi finals came down. Norris Prayoonto and the Yadiel team had faced off some time back in Orlando and Norris took the win.. Both cars coming into the race now with PB of 8.9 this was to head to the finals, it was more than a rematch it was for a chance at the event win! Norris cuts a .080 Reaction Time but Marcos in the Yadiel V6 Mitsubishi was on a mission- 8.838 at 167.49mph - not only did he get the win, he moved himself way up the top ten list and of Outlaw All Motor cars! This was his new Personal Best and the energy just grew. It was Adrian and Marcos in the Finals and Marcos stayed on his mission with another 8 second pass for the third time in a row, 8.83 at 166.70mph - He was the Outlaw All Motor Class winner and drove it in and out of winners circle!
Major Congrats to Marcos and his team. He accomplished so much in one event and really just put these Mitsubishi Outlaw All Motor Monsters on the map! Congrats to the entire Yadiel Racing Team!
