Testing out new Enduro bikes before my 2022 California Enduro Series racing season.
I’ll be trying a few new enduro bikes this year on my local trails to see what bikes I like, what geometry works best for me personally & compare them to my personal Santa Cruz Megatower that I’ve been on for over 2 years now.
The Trek Slash is fully race ready with 170-160mm travel, a light weight frame, and storage space to stash away any items that may be needed in the course of a race… be it tubes, tools, food or whatever else you can fit into the Dow tube of the bike.
Huge thanks to guys like Vince who are willing to let me take out their personal bikes to test and try on my hometown trails that I know best! Without his generosity it would’ve be much harder to find this bike to test out!
Napa Valley’s Moore Creek Park isn’t known for its Gnarly trails, but rather its all out speed and flowing single track. With many off camber turns and sharp corners, it was a good test to see how this all out Enduro race rig could handle the more simple trails that most people will find themselves on 75% of the time. At that it passes the trail test with flying colors! For the Trek Slash to feel so L
light weight & quick handling, I was very impressed with how well mannered the bike was on these faster flowing trails.
This isn’t a full bike review as I’ve only ridden it once on just a couple hometown trails, but it was very eye opening to say the least at how well this bike gets along with everyday trails! I’d love to take it out to some gnarlier terrain (perhaps in a future video) but this was all the time I got with the bike and I’m thankful to have tested it out!
Leave me any comments on questions you may have, if you’d like to see more of these types of first ride videos please let me know!
Thanks for Watching and Subscribing everyone! ✌🏼
