Since the appearance of COVID-19, I’ve had a lot of folks ask me:
“Why haven’t we implemented telehealth sooner?” 🤔
😒 Why indeed.
Simply put: it was all about the money. (𝑪𝒉𝒂-𝒄𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈!)
More specifically, fraud fears and reimbursement.
And, to be perfectly honest, of all the doctors that I’ve talked to
since the pandemic began, not one of them has had a negative experience or feeling
towards using telehealth as a way to treat patients.
They just wanted to get paid for the treatment.
And the government had all this worry about being billing fraud.
When COVID hit, a decision had to be made. And so, it was!
And lo and behold, 𝗶𝘁 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝘁𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗮 𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘄:
💸 The fraud fears were pretty overblown
💸 Patients can get the quality care they need quicker and easier
💸 Relaxing regulations can keep folks healthier (and safer!)
Sometimes, trial by fire can have its silver linings! 🔥
Has your practice implemented telehealth services? How have your patients (and business) fared? We’d love to know! Comment below! ⤵️
