I recently have seen a few videos about using modern drill bits with a old hand auger drill. New quality auger bits can be expensive so Rex Krueger asked if anyone knows of a type of bit that works and is affordable. I decided to try my luck with Milwaukee Speed Feed bits and got lack luster results out of the box. After sharpening and modifying the new bits they cut much cleaner than they did originally but they still lag behind the old fashion bits.
