Just a few minutes drive west of downtown Ottawa is a remarkable collection of river rock sculptures. The artist is John Felice Ceprano, who at the time of filming (Summer, Fall 2017) is 70 years young.
Not only is the art installation stunning, it is a product of vision, skill and determination, only possible by a master.
For the past 31 years John returns to the Remic Rapids site on the Ottawa River, to rebuild his art. You see every winter and spring the snow, ice and subsequent melt dislodges most of the rocks. Each summer John builds a new masterpiece, balancing scores of stones with only skill and a few small shims, in knee and waist deep cold water.
Balance is not only important when you are maneuvering a 400-pound rock into position, by hand...but for John balance is about life. Click here for more information about the artist - [ Ссылка ]
