For several hours in mid-November, hundreds of people gathered in London to Light the World, the Christmas initiative of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
“It's the first time in Europe that we've done this on this scale," said Robert F. Schwartz, regional Church leader. "The goal of being in such a public place is just to show London what it looks like to light the world.”
Sister Kristin M. Yee of the Relief Society General Presidency joined those gathered to see images of Jesus Christ projected on the historic County Hall in London’s South Bank of the River Thames, near the iconic London Eye.
London joins more than 100 locations worldwide where the public can donate to local charities through the Church’s Giving Machines during the Christmas season. Learn more at Newsroom.ChurchofJesusChrist.org.
