Scientists have been trying to identify what causes some people to be more attractive to mosquitoes than others, and vice versa. While there have been many studies that have identified some factors like dark clothing, being pregnant, or having consumed beer, the molecular mechanisms of this attraction has been unclear. In a new study, Rockefeller University researchers identify 3 carboxylic acids produced by human skin that could be particularly attractive to mosquitoes. ThePrint’s Sandhya Ramesh explains.
