In order for evolution to happen, a population has to have variance, that variance needs to be genetic, and there must be a mechanism to change this variation. In this video, we explore some of the mechanisms of change including gene flow, genetic drift (including bottleneck effect and founder effect), and nonrandom mating. More mechanisms are explored in a future video.
