In this video, we will gain an initial understanding of the research field that tackles these challenges and opportunities: learning analytics (LA). Through hands-on individual and group activities, participants will be exposed to a variety of real LA technologies and conceptual frameworks, so that they can both define LA and understand its benefits and risks – both as a fascinating field of study, and as a tool that educational scientists and practitioners can exploit to better understand and support learning.
