Betelgeuse is approximately 700 light years away from earth and is 12 times more massive than our sun. It is expected to go supernova in next 100,000 years which is relatively soon in astronomical terms as it is just 10 million years old now. We won't be staying long enough to witness this spectacular event in night sky.🤩
When it will go supernova, it will become so bright that it will outshine a full moon and be powerful enough to cast shadows at night time😳
