“Moon River” was composed by composer Henry Mancini and lyricist Johnny Mercer. It was originally performed by Audrey Hepburn in the 1961 movie Breakfast at Tiffany’s, winning an Academy Award for Best Song. “Moon River” also won the 1962 Grammy Awards for Record of the Year and Song of the Year. We use “Moon River” for modulations: from C major to C# and back to C major. This song has been covered by many singers. It became the theme song for Andy Williams.
