The Bolivian government has declared a disaster in the Amazon region after floods killed 40 people and forced more than 500 families to evacuate the area.
An overflowing Acre river has almost covered the international bridge between Bolivia and Brazil, and residents in the area have been forced to use boats for transportation.
Houses are underwater, residents are scrambling to salvage their belongings and taking shelter in facilities in higher ground.
