To tackle the ongoing drop in birth rates, the Chinese government has launched new surveys to find out why people are hesitant or even scared to have kids.
On October 17, the China Population and Development Research Center, part of the National Health Commission, announced they’ll be surveying 150 monitored counties and 1,500 communities, with a goal of reaching 30,000 people.
