The Zhinvali Dam is a hydroelectric dam on the Aragvi River in the Caucasus Mountains in Zhinvali, Georgia. The Zhinvali Hydroelectric Power Plant has two turbines with a nominal capacity of 65 MW each having a total capacity of 130 MW. It's construction began in 1974 and its started working 1985 and operational till date. This Dam is on river Aragvi and It has one of the largest hydroelectric power stations in Georgia. For your kind information it is in the way of Tbilisi to Stepantsminda, Kazbegi. Some people misdirected to think it is same Tbilisi Sea but no these two are totally different places and Zhinvali Dam is far north from Tbilisi.
Ananuri is a Georgian castle complex on the Aragvi River in Georgia just beside Tbilisi to Kazbegi Road and about 45 miles (72 kilometres) from Tbilisi City.
The Russia–Georgia Friendship Monument or Treaty of Georgievsk Monument is a monument built in 1983 to celebrate the bicentennial of the Treaty of Georgievsk and the ongoing friendship between Soviet Georgia and Soviet Russia. Located on the Georgian Military Highway between the ski resort town of Gudauri and the Jvari pass, the monument is a large round stone and concrete structure overlooking the Devil's Valley in the Caucasus mountains. Inside the monument is a large tile mural that spans the whole circumference of the structure and depicts scenes of Georgian and Russian history.
It is a most beautiful place to explore and paragliding events arranged here by expertise. Thousands of sheeps grazing far below mountain land you can see from this monument.
Stepantsminda formerly KAZBEGI is a townlet in the Mtskheta-Mtianeti region of north-eastern Georgia. Historically and ethnographically the town is the part of the Khevi province. It is the center of the Kazbegi Municipality. Very attractive tourist spot and many cheap and best hostels, hotels and restaurants you found here. I enjoyed delicious Georgian dishes here with my friends. The town is located along the banks of the Terek River, 157 kilometers (98 mi) to the north of Tbilisi at an elevation of 1,740 meters (5,710 feet) above sea level. Stepantsminda’s climate is moderately humid with relatively dry, cold winters and long and cool summers. The average annual temperature is 4.9°C. The town is dominated by large mountains on all sides. The most notable mountain of the region, Mount Kazbek, lies immediately to the west of town.
Gergeti Trinity Church (Georgian: Tsminda Sameba) is a popular name for Holy Trinity Church near the village of Gergeti in Georgia. The church is situated on the right bank of the river Chkheri (the left tributary of the river Terek), at an elevation of 2170 meters (7120 feet), under Mount Kazbek.
The Gergeti Trinity Church was built in the 14th century, and is the only cross-cupola church in Khevi province. The church is a popular waypoint for trekkers in the area, and can be reached by a steep 1.5 hour climb up the mountain from Stepantsminda. By December 2018 a paved/tarmac road has been laid up to the base of the church, accessible by any normal car but that before only four wheel drive small cars only able to reach to this monastery and its really costly previously to book a reserve car for individual solo tourist.
