At the Eclipse SDV Community Days in Graz at AVL earlier this year, we had the opportunity to speak with Jannis de Veer, Data Scientist at HDI Group. He highlighted the pivotal role collaboration within the automotive software industry plays in driving progress across other sectors, particularly through the harmonisation of in-vehicle data. During the keynote session on Eclipse SDV Blueprints, Jannis presented use cases for car insurance companies and demonstrated how open source projects can help industries collect and access vehicle data. This data is essential for building solutions to better assess risks on the road and implement preventative measures, all with the ultimate goal of contributing to safer vehicles and improved mobility for everyone.
