Chancellor of the Exchequer, George Osborne, delivered the Summer Budget Statement to the House of Commons on Wednesday 8 July 2015.
The Budget statement sets out the Government's policies following the general election of 7 May 2015 and includes:
- a review of how the UK economy is performing
- forecasts of how the UK economy will perform in the future
- details of any changes to taxation
