This video is part of a modern Hybrid Guitar Production series as we now combine both real amplifiers, Amp modeling and software simulations.
In this review i discuss the importance of the Toneforge DI Matching alike EQ matching, who needs it and why., i a/b a Les Paul with a Strat and Ibenez RG450 and i will also share another video containing a more defined A/B demonstration (clean DI signals) including other sources besides guitars.
The important of this plugin and EQ matching cant be emphasised enough as your able to use the same amp or amp sim with out worrying about switching between guitar sources such as with single or double coil pick-ups so your sound is more balanced in a mix or simply compatible with the same amp settings..
You also do not loose the tone identity which most people fear with EQ or DI matching...its simply eq'ed saving you the trouble of tweaking an amp or channel strip to match balance a different guitar-source in a mix or simply the same amp-amp sim...
In addition to maintaining your tone while EQ-in it to another source this means you do not have to re tweak your amp settings or amp sim presets to fit different guitar sources, you can now match them and freely change any setting of your amp or amp sim preset with out re tweaking to balance them out.
The ability to DI and even EQ match gives you access to even more creative possibilities as this is not limited to Guitars.
