Meniscus transplant involves placing a cadaver meniscus into your knee to replace a severely damaged cushion in your knee. Without a meniscus you will develop arthritis. Here I show how I use the Novostitch Plus device for meniscus transplant. I prefer this device as I can reach very tight areas with minimal risk of nerve or vascular damage and can precisely control my tension of repair using an all inside technique. I do use adjunct injections to aid in healing including growth factor injections in the forms of prp, amniotic membrane cells, or stem cells to aid in the healing. on occasion, I will perform an osteotomy or bone cutting realignment procedure, if needed, to make your joint last longer.
