Sikorsky Aircraft, a Lockheed Martin subsidiary, is accelerating production of its CH-53K King Stallion heavy-lift helicopters through new contracts and cutting-edge digital manufacturing techniques. Recently, the company secured a $120.6 million order for 21 more helicopters, equipped with advanced avionics and mission systems, aimed at enhancing the U.S. Marine Corps' operational capabilities. The CH-53K, designed to replace the CH-53E, offers triple the lift capacity and is built for rapid deployment in expeditionary operations. Sikorsky has also delivered its third Low-Rate Initial Production unit ahead of schedule, leveraging digital tools to streamline its supply chain. In addition to U.S. contracts, Sikorsky secured a deal to supply 12 CH-53Ks to Israel, reflecting global demand for this advanced helicopter.
