We start with this beautiful combination of a ‘Duke’ boiler mounted on ‘Bulldog’s frames taking water in Llangollen station’s Westbound platform and moving off to the east end of the line beneath the Castle Street road bridge. Now comes the stunning view out from the station footbridge to the bridge over the Dee with our Dukedog pulling out and running through the station before backing down onto the formation of the 11:55 Llangollen-Carrog. Moving to Glyndyfrdwy station we see this 11:55 Llangollen-Carrog arrive and depart giving us a good view of the modified LNE Coronation Observation car on the rear, and also a rare (for GW Territory) upper quadrant signal. Next we find a field to the east of Glyndyfrdwy with a spectacular view out over the Dee Valley and capture the Dukedog returning with the 13:12 Carrog-Llangollen with the Observation car now facing the loco. Finally a return to Llangollen station to see the Dukedog positioning herself on the front of small prairie 5526 and the 14:55 Llangollen-Carrog train which is running in the guise of a ‘Festiniog Railway Special’ and then conclude with the departure of this service. All seen on Saturday 18th April 2009.
