👋 After installing the AWE Touring exhaust on my FL5 Honda Civic Type-R and living with it for quite some time. Lets do a full review on how the Type-R sounds and why this is probably one of the best sounding kits for the new Civic Type-R! You never would guess a 4 cylinder Honda could sound really good, however AWE tunes their exhaust for a deep aggressive tone! Being the Touring version, this has a resonator in the rear section that looks like a muffler. It has chambers inside of it to reverse the drone sound frequencies 180 degrees to cancel themselves out. So this kit gives you an aggressive sound without any annoying drone. Also this kit does cancel the active valve from the stock kit, which is next to useless. You can't even hear it in the stock form. But this won't cause a CEL since the AWE kit comes with a dummy plug for the connection. The chrome tips look super cool in the back of the Type-R and I love how much more fun the Civic is to drive now that it sounds really good! Easy install too and you can get black tips or the Track version if you want more sound! Loving the Touring version tho and this kit really fits my taste for a great exhaust on the FL5 Civic Type-R!
