Here we are chopping our forage sorghum which is feed for our dairy cattle. The neighbors opened up for us with their Claas and we chopped the rest with our pull type Gehl. The tractor pulling the Gehl is a John Deere 2940 and the wagons are Badger BN950's. This was planted in late June at 100,000 seeds per acre with a white planter using sugar beet plates. As far as fertility there were was some steer manure applied and some residual chicken litter from the previous year. We do not use any herbicides, fungicides or insecticides on our farm. As far as yield we are still chopping it appears to be doing very well.
