This video serves as an explanation of the electric installation in your ARTO motorhome by your motorhome manufacturer Niesmann+Bischoff.
You can find the whole electric installation, except for the current inverter, in the floor of the ARTO motorhome. Depending on the model, the electric installation is accessible through one or two inspection doors in the floor. Under the bigger inspection door you can find the relay box, the solar control unit and the leisure batteries. The leisure batteries are maintenance free AGM batteries. Please pay attention to charge conservation, because fully discharged batteries have a short service life. Next to the batteries, there is the relay box with fuses for the 12 Volt body shell electrics. The according fuse locations are assigned with symbols. If a fuse is defect, a red LED will be shining on the affected fuse. You can find further information in the motorhome documentation. Next to the relay box hangs the solar regulator. The regulator only indicates that it is charging and when a defect is present a red symbol will be shown. Otherwise the regulator is completely maintenance free.
The outside power connection is located on the outside of the wall, on the driver’s side. Here you can introduce the plug for the outside power connection.
Under the small inspection door in the floor you can find two residual current circuit breakers. These protect the sockets, cables and devices in your ARTO motorhome, which are operated with 230 Volt. If the RCD should trip, because e.g. the fuse in your motorhome has blown, you should check it at the RCD. Further, please press the yellow button and after that press the fuse back down. If the RCD protection should trip again, please let it check by a service partner.
