As of Sunday afternoon, more than 60 civilians have been reported killed in Sudan as the country's military and a powerful paramilitary group battle for control of the nation for a second day.
The fighting involved armored vehicles, truck-mounted machine guns and war planes with much of the fighting in Khartoum and the adjoining city of Omdurman, though other cities have also seen conflict.
"Many of the people, they are loading the stuff from the supermarkets, they are going in their car. And many of them they were hitchhiking in other vehicles to escape the city," blogger Maheen said in videos posted online.
The clashes are an ongoing part of the power struggle between Gen. Abdel-Fattah Burhan, who commands the armed forces, and Gen. Mohammed Hamdan Dagalo, the head of the Rapid Support Forces group.
Joe Scarpelli reports on what is known so far and what people stuck in the country are saying, as world leaders call for a ceasefire.
