Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at the Cargo Smart ratchet straps for E-Track or X-Track systems. These straps allow you to secure items to your E-Track or X-Track.The ratcheting mechanism makes it easy to tighten down the strap and maintain tension. We have a spring loaded fitting located on each end of the strap. And with this part number, you get two ratchet straps. We have the spring loaded fittings that snap into the E-Track or X-Track anchor points. They can be easily moved from one E-Track or X-Track slot to another so it's a really nice, easy to use system. We have smart web technology that provides polyester webbing that's stronger than standard webbing.
And then the anchors or those fittings are steel. They're made from a nice, durable steel construction and they have a nice, protective finishing on them to keep them safe from rust and corrosion. Same thing applies here to the actual ratcheting mechanism. Now the strap is a vibrant or bright orange color for high viability. This strap is available in two different lengths. So we have a 12 foot kit and a 16 foot kit.
For the 12 foot kit, that's part number 3481935 and the 16 foot kit is available at etrailor.com with part number 348899. The straps measure two inches wide. Each strap features a safe working load limit of 1,000 pounds at a maximum load or break strength of 3,000 pounds. Just keep in mind that tie-down anchors must be chosen according to their safe working load limit so the weight of your secured cargo must not exceed the combined working load limit of the straps or anchors being used. It's really easy to use. You feed the strap through the ratcheting mechanism.
You want to connect your anchors to the appropriate slots of your X-Track or E-Track system and then you want to place your strap over or around your gear. You pull any slack out of the strap here and then you finish tightening by using the ratcheting mechanism. Really nice, easy to use design. Now, ratchets have three positions. You have your full open position, this is your release position. So if you want to release tension on the strap, you open it up all the way, pull on the end that has the anchor on it and it will release tension and allow you to loosen the strap.
So that way, you can unload or remove your gear. And then you have a center positioning which is your ratcheting position. And then you have a fully closed position which would be like your end use. So once you have everything tight, you put it in this position, this is your stowed or travel position. The grip on it has indention's so it allows for an easy grip design. And you do have plenty of space there, a little bit larger than traditional ratcheting mechanisms. So this would be easier to operate if you have gloves on as well. That's going to do it for today's look at the Cargo Smart ratchet straps for E-Track or X-Track systems.
